しゅけいれつ【主系列】

【天】 the main sequence; 【物】 〔原子スペクトルの〕 the principal series.

●主系列上にある[ない] be on [off] the main sequence

・主系列より上にある明るい星 luminous stars lying above the main sequence

・主系列より下にある暗い星 faint stars lying below the main sequence

・星が主系列上で過ごす時間 the time a star spends on the main sequence.

●重い O 型星と B 型星はずっと前に主系列を離れている. Massive O and B stars have left the main sequence long ago.
